Harper Adams University Award

To celebrate six decades of successful poultry breeding, hatching and rearing Johnstons presented a trophy to Harper Adams University for the best Honours Poultry Research Project.
It was awarded to Honours Graduate Ms. Grace Elizabeth Righton from Worcestershire for her research project into the health of the internal organs of birds on four farms and was presented, along with an atlas of the world to Grace by Honours Graduate Lauren Johnston.

Heritage Breeds on UTV's Lesser Spotted Ulster

We were delighted to welcome the folk from the television programme Lesser Spotted Ulster to our hatchery. During the programme Muriel Johnston  demonstrated the hatching, sexing and vaccination processes that have been refined over her lifetime's experience of breeding and rearing hens.
